Yellowstone Families,

The 2018-2019 school year is here! Thank you for assisting us with a safe and successful start. Wednesdays are the day we will send out our communications to families. Along with these updates, you should expect something from each of your child’s teachers.

As we ensure the safety of over 450 children, we are also navigating the logistics of running two separate campuses. Your patience and understanding is appreciated as we clarify policies and procedures that are put in place for our campus. Please adhere to the reminders below. If there are any questions, contact us at any time.

Arrival Procedures
There is no campus supervision prior to 7:15 a.m. Please note that any students arriving to campus prior to this time are unsupervised!

  • Academy students being dropped off in the morning or walking to campus should enter through the walk up gate near the main entrance on the Trulley St. side of the campus.
  • College Prep students being dropped off in the morning or walking to campus should enter through the walk up gate near the cafeterioum on the Hadley St. side of the campus. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. must be escorted into the building by a parent or guardian.

Dismissal Procedures
Thank you for your assistance with following our dismissal procedures. It has helped to streamline the process of safely getting over 450 children back home.

Parent Pick Up families, please make sure you have filled out the BLUE PARENT PICK UP TAGS and have it visible in your car or in your hand at the walk up gate. You can also just write your child’s name and grade level in large print on a blank sheet of paper and place it in your windshield. This greatly assists with speeding up the process.

If you are a car driver and you are picking up, PLEASE do not park your car along the perimeter of the campus, get out, and line up at the walk up gate. This causes congestion on the streets and makes it unsafe for our families who are walking and our students who are trying to get to vehicles. We ask that you adhere to the instructions of our security officer and faculty. Though there may be slight inconveniences, student safety is our priority during this time.

Transportation Changes
All transportation changes must be done by contacting the main office before 2:00 p.m. When requesting a transportation change, we will ask the full name of the student and the full name of the person requesting the change. You may also be asked to verify personal student information for safety. Unfortunately, change request made after 2:00 p.m. will not be honored.

Early Pick Up
Early pick up is cut off at 2:30 p.m. each day. After 2:30 p.m. we are preparing and securing our campus for dismissal. For students with several class periods, please be mindful that early pick up may result in class absences.

Uniform Expectations
All students are expected to be in appropriate school bottoms and uniform top each day. Each Monday, students should wear their white Oxford shirts (button down dress shirt). YCP students are also expected to wear their dress ties on Monday. YCP students are expected to have a clear or mesh backpack.

Uniform Orders
Uniform orders placed through Kaleidescope by Friday, August 24th will be delivered the week of September 4th. IF you requested campus delivery, you will be contacted to pick up your uniforms or they will be sent home with your child. Additional uniform patches for both Academy and College Prep students will once again be available for purchase beginning September 4th.
